It’s 2014 and social media has been around for a while. In the past years brands and businesses have been using platforms to create brand awareness without creating measurable ROI. For this year marketers have geared up their intentions and plan on approaching things differently and with new tools and hope they can create better results. While a change in approach is important, I doubt that the bet on data will have a major influence on results. Spending even more on ads might also not be the bet that will show the desired result.
